PULEVA explanatory note

In relation to the study disseminated by the Consumers’ and Users’ Organisation (OCU), in which the quality of some types of milk was questioned, PULEVA states that it has all the authorisations and certifications required by the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality, the only official and binding organism which guarantees the fulfilment of requisites in relation to the quality and composition of all the products present in the food chain.

The Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs made a statement to this effect, saying that the “dairy sector rigorously applies current EU legislation, with the most demanding legal and self-regulatory requisites the world over, guaranteeing both food quality and food safety, and consequently, the rights of consumers.”

For its part, the National Federation of Dairy Industries (FENIL) “has requested the protection of Public Administrations and announced that it will take legal steps to defend the good name which the Spanish dairy sector has spent years building with its quality, responsibility and good working practices.”

PULEVA, in it’s over 100 years of history, has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to the quality and safety of its products, complying with the most demanding standards of quality (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000 and IFS), and continues working with this same spirit on a daily basis.
